I work as a VJ, doing realtime video-mixing in sync with music at different clubs, festivals, concerts etc. I had a lot of problems to decide which codecs I should use, and ended up trying out ProRes 4444 since its one of the few which has alpha channel. However, I cant decide if my visuals lag running 8 - 10 layers of 960 x 540 resolution. Is there such a thing as a FPS counter for Mac OSX? I havent found one, but its strange if it isnt.
best wishes,
Mads
